Blankenheim / Rosar Edition

This series is an Interpretative (Performance) Edition of the keyboard works of J. S. Bach, co-edited by the legendary German pianist and teacher Walter Blankenheim and Inge Rosar.

This edition provides pianists, teachers and students with solutions to the problems posed by interpreting Bach’s keyboard works on the piano. Apart from providing fingering, suggestions for interpretation of ornaments, phrasing and articulations, the Blankenheim /Rosar edition also provides alternatives for ornamentation in repeats and figurations for repeats of Sarabandes.

This series opened with the publication of J. S. Bach’s French Suite No. 1 BWV 812.
